Depressants, Dispersants & Activators

Frusina's depressant, dispersant and activator portfolio is engineered to enhance flotation selectivity by selectively suppressing gangue minerals and controlling slurry rheology. From targeting complex silicates and talc in PGM circuits to re-activating mineral surfaces for collector attachment, we supply targeted and custom-formulated solutions to maximize concentrate grade and metallurgical recovery.

Product Overview

Depressants and modifiers are classified by their active organic or inorganic chemistry, which determines their specificity in blocking unwanted gangue minerals:

PGM Circuit Depressants:Formulated to suppress talc and reactive silicate gangue, optimizing valuable Platinum Group Mineral grade and recovery.

Targeted Metal Circuit Depressants (Iron, Copper & Lead): High-selectivity depressants engineered to suppress specific interfering minerals—such as pyrite, chalcopyrite, or galena—during selective multi-stage flotation.

Ethoxylated Alcohol & Polyglycol Ether Frothers: High-strength, versatile frothers designed for complex or low-grade ores where strong froth persistence and high water recovery are required.

Organic Depressants (CMC, Guar & Starch): Versatile, organic gangue depressants available across all grades and purities to manage complex silicates and improve froth control.

Dispersants & Activators: Formulations designed to reduce slurry viscosity, prevent slime coating on target minerals and re-activate suppressed mineral surfaces for efficient collector attachment.
